Alchemer Pricing and Alchemer Cost Per User, Per Response and Per Year in 2026
Alchemer prints per-user prices for three licenses and caps two of them at three users. Here is what each license costs monthly and yearly, why seats do not add responses, what happens at the response limit, and what a Platform contract runs.

Alchemer publishes per-user prices for three licenses. Collaborator costs $55 a month or $315 a year, Professional costs $165 a month or $1,075 a year, and Full Access costs $275 a month or $1,895 a year. Professional and Full Access stop at three users, and the response allowance (75,000, 100,000 or 125,000 a year) belongs to the account, not to each user. Above three users you move to a quoted Business Platform plan, where Vendr reports a median contract of $24,274 a year.
We read Alchemer's plans and license pages on 6 October 2026. Alchemer blocks automated requests from some networks, so we read them through a second route and compared every figure with the register we kept for our September comparison. Nothing had moved.
Alchemer pricing plans at a glance
All three self-serve licenses include unlimited surveys. What changes as you go up is survey logic, reporting, support and the size of the account's yearly response pool.
| License | Monthly, per user | Annual, per user | User cap | Responses a year (per account) | Support |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Collaborator | $55 | $315 | Not listed | 75,000 | |
| Professional | $165 | $1,075 | 3 | 100,000 | Email and phone (annual plans) |
| Full Access | $275 | $1,895 | 3 | 125,000 | Email and phone (annual plans) |
| Business Platform | Quote only | Unlimited | Custom | 24/7 and a success manager | |
Professional adds advanced survey logic, scripting and advanced data reports. Full Access adds advanced research question types, statistical analysis and advanced reporting, which is what a market research team buys Alchemer for in the first place. The Business Platform adds omnichannel collection, more than 400 integrations, AI text analysis, single sign-on, permission controls and HIPAA compliance.
There is a seven-day free trial with full access to the plan you pick, and Alchemer does not ask for a card up front. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, so a canceled annual license runs to the end of its year. Non-profits get a discount after an EIN check.
How much does Alchemer cost per year?
For one person, $315 a year on Collaborator, $1,075 on Professional or $1,895 on Full Access, all billed annually. For the three-user maximum on the self-serve plans, Professional comes to $3,225 a year and Full Access to $5,685 a year. That $5,685 is the most you can spend with Alchemer without talking to sales.
Paying monthly roughly doubles the bill. Twelve months of Collaborator at $55 is $660 against $315 billed yearly, twelve months of Professional is $1,980 against $1,075, and twelve months of Full Access is $3,300 against $1,895. Alchemer's own badges say you save 52, 46 and 43 percent, and the arithmetic checks out. If you expect to use the tool for more than about seven months, the annual license is the cheaper purchase.
Alchemer cost for one user over a year, monthly vs annual billing

Alchemer cost per response
The response allowance is the detail most Alchemer pricing summaries get wrong. Alchemer's license page says the annual response limit is set by the highest license across all users on the account. Seats add cost; they do not add responses. Three Full Access users share the same 125,000 responses that one Full Access user gets.
That changes the cost per response sharply with team size. One Professional user who uses the full 100,000 responses pays about $0.011 a response. One Full Access user at 125,000 pays about $0.015. Three Full Access users at 125,000 pay about $0.045, three times as much for the same pool. If your team needs more people in the tool but not more volume, ask whether the extra people can sit on cheaper licenses under one Full Access seat, since the account's pool follows the highest license. The plans page lists the three-user cap on Professional and Full Access only and says more than three users needs a Platform account, so get the answer on mixed licenses in writing before you count on it.
For context, QuestionPro's Advanced plan, which we read in September, is $99 a user a month billed annually with 25,000 responses a year per license, and it adds responses with every seat. Alchemer is the cheaper tool per response for a single heavy user, and QuestionPro catches up as teams grow. The full side-by-side at one, three and five users is in our Alchemer vs Qualtrics vs QuestionPro pricing comparison.
What happens if you go over your Alchemer response limit?
Nothing is billed automatically. Alchemer's wording is that exceeding the limit will not result in overage charges but will prompt a review to make sure the account is on the right level. It also says more than 98 percent of survey customers never reach their limit.
Read that as a soft cap with a sales conversation attached. A team that runs one large customer study a year can plan around it. A team that runs an always-on survey, such as a post-purchase or post-support survey on a busy site, should estimate its yearly volume before buying, because 125,000 responses is about 340 a day, and a review that ends in a Platform quote is a much bigger number than a license.
Alchemer Business Platform pricing
The Business Platform is quote only. It is where you land if you need a fourth user, single sign-on, HIPAA compliance, AI text analysis of open-text answers, or the larger integration catalog. Alchemer accepts invoicing and bank transfer on Platform plans, which suits a finance team that pays annual software by purchase order.
The best public anchor is Vendr, a procurement service that publishes anonymized contract data. Vendr reports a median Alchemer contract of $24,274 a year, with a range of $6,075 to $40,727 and an average negotiated saving of 15 percent. The current page does not print how many purchases that rests on; in late September it showed 36 deals, which is a thin sample, so treat the median as a band rather than a quote.
Set that next to the self-serve ceiling and the jump is the real Alchemer pricing story. Three Full Access users cost $5,685 a year at list. The median Platform-sized contract is about 4.3 times that. The fourth user is the most expensive seat Alchemer sells, so if your team is at three, decide whether the fourth person needs to build surveys or only read results before you trigger the move.
Is Alchemer cheaper than Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey?
Than Qualtrics, almost always. Qualtrics publishes no prices, and Vendr's median Qualtrics contract is around $30,000 a year, more than five times Alchemer's three-user ceiling; our Qualtrics pricing guide covers what drives that figure. Even Alchemer's Platform median sits below it.
Against SurveyMonkey the answer depends on seats and volume. SurveyMonkey sells cheaper entry plans, but caps responses per plan and prices teams by seat with a minimum; the current US figures are in our SurveyMonkey pricing breakdown. Alchemer tends to win once you need advanced logic, scripting or statistical analysis, which SurveyMonkey keeps on its higher-priced plans.
One more line to budget for. Per-seat survey licenses renew every year, often at a higher rate than year one, and they are easy to lose track of across departments. A team that already tracks its software spend in one place can set the renewal date for each license next to its SaaS and cloud costs, so a price change shows up before the invoice does.
When Alchemer is the right purchase and when it is not
Alchemer is a strong buy for a market research or CX team of one to three people that writes complex surveys, needs branching, piping and scripting, and wants statistical analysis without a five-figure contract. At $1,895 a year per Full Access user, it is one of the most capable survey tools you can put on a card.
It is a weaker fit when the hard part is not collecting answers but understanding them. 125,000 responses a year with open-text questions is far more reading than a small team can do by hand, and Alchemer's AI text analysis sits on the Platform plan. If what you need is to know which complaints are driving cancellations, and to see survey comments next to support tickets, app reviews and product usage, that is a different tool. Our survey analysis software groups every open-text answer into themes, counts the customers behind each theme and ties it to churn, starting at $119.50 a month billed annually. Plenty of teams keep Alchemer for collection and use UserInsight to analyze what comes back.
Alchemer pricing questions
Does Alchemer have a free plan?
No. Alchemer offers a seven-day free trial with full access to the plan you choose and no card required up front. After the trial you buy a Collaborator, Professional or Full Access license, starting at $55 a month or $315 a year per user.
How many users can you have on Alchemer?
Professional and Full Access are capped at three users per account. Alchemer's plans page says that more than three users requires a Business Platform account, which is quote only. Confirm with sales how Collaborator licenses count toward that cap before you plan a larger team on them.
Is Alchemer the same as SurveyGizmo?
Yes. SurveyGizmo renamed itself Alchemer in 2020. The product and the company are the same, and older pricing articles that quote SurveyGizmo plan names describe plans that no longer exist.
Can you pay for Alchemer monthly?
Yes. Each license is sold monthly or annually. Monthly billing costs $55, $165 or $275 per user, which is close to double the annual price over a year. Phone support on Professional and Full Access is listed for annual plans.
